“Rewind, Rewind, Rewind”
Session 8 Recap
The session rewound to the evening when the party was handed keys to their rooms. During the night, Sanise Aniphi knocked on Dorian and Pendejo’s door, requesting Pendejo’s presence. In her room, she opened a shimmering portal, revealing the location where the Cloak of Orcus is hidden.
Meanwhile, Dorian sought out Urixima, hoping to reason with her. However, consumed by rage and vengeance against Mikel, she refused to listen. When Mikel wouldn’t leave the burning building, Urixima stormed into the inferno herself to confront him.
Dorian then ventured to The Forsaken Wand, seeking aid from The White Nights. There, Claude, the gatorfolk proprietor, recognized his White Night coin and revealed a hidden entrance to their headquarters in Whember. Dorian spoke with Beau, but their hands were tied as they prepared for an impending invasion. She did, however, entrust him with a Sending Stone to stay in contact.
Elsewhere, Enna overheard Dirk offering a solemn toast downstairs as those gathered braced for the worst. Meanwhile, Tonci and Tahlra awoke to find Efran, a member of Tonci’s old crew aboard the Gluronk, delivering a letter of condolences from Vanasha.
As the party readied themselves for the journey ahead, Enna asked Dorian to accompany her to see Ariel, hoping to learn more about the curse of her ring. Ariel’s cryptic words suggested that Enna would need to endure a great trial to break the curse. She later shared this ominous revelation with Pendejo.
Finally, as the group prepared to leave Whember, they were confronted by Kaelor Vayne, a bounty hunter, and his henchmen—Selice Nightbloom and Rivak the Savage. Though their threats hung in the air, the trio faded into the shadows, leaving the party uneasy as they set out on their path once more.
